The Diversity Champion Award was established in July 2003 and is awarded to a civil engineer

based on his/her contributions to the profession through his/her support and promotion of

inclusiveness within the professional community and ASCE. Each ASCE

Section/Branch/Committee or Institute can nominate candidates for this award, which will be

given to one engineer nationally.
