The New Jersey Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (NJ-ASCE), along with other area engineering organizations, is once again proud to be organizing the National Engineers Week celebration at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ. It is an event celebrated each February by members of the engineering profession to help raise public awareness and appreciation of engineers and their work. In the past this event has hosted over 3,000 parents and children who visited The Liberty Science Center and participated in the educational programs, games and contests that our organizations created, sponsored and ran with the assistance of dedicated volunteers. The visiting children will have the unique opportunity to learn about the many ways in which engineering impacts and improve their lives. Organizing the event with the National Engineers Week’s theme for 2009 is “Engineers Make It Work” promises to be both educational and entertaining. Additional information about 2009 National Engineers Week is available on the web at www.eweek.org. |
