Please join us for an evening of Drinks, Dynamics, and Geotechnical Centrifuges with Dr. Brad Wham from CU Boulder’s Center for Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing Lab! We’ll be celebrating the holiday season with a brewery take-over at Novel Strand Brewing and we want you there! Registration includes 3 drinks from Novel Strand’s craft selection and an on-site food truck will keep you warm for our Keynote Speaker. This event is 21 and up and Lyft credits will be available to help get you home safe!

Brad P. Wham, PhD,  is Research Faculty at CU Boulder's Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering and Manger of the Center for Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing (CIEST). CIEST provides a centrally managed experimental testing facility offering a wide range of capabilities including geotechnical centrifuge, large-scale structural dynamics, and materials testing.

Our Program includes an overview of a few recent/ongoing projects will highlight collaborations with various industry, agency, and academic partners. The discussion will include full-scale component testing of an innovative structural steel building system, destructive testing of next-generation hazard-resilient water pipelines, and centrifuge modeling of seismic mitigation techniques for buildings and geo-structures.
