January 2012 Fort Worth Branch Meeting

December Fort Worth Branch Meeting

The next Meeting, scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2011 is now open for RSVP's. Mr. Donald Anderson, Jr., P.E., LEED AP, M.ASCE, Director, GUlf Region Business Development for Fugro will be presenting “Our City, Our Problems, Our Solutions - Engaging Public Discourse on Infrastructure.”

The meeting will be at Ruth’s Chris Steak House; 813 Main Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.

November Fort Worth Branch Meeting

The next Meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11:45am is now open for RSVP's. John Morgan, Hunt Construction and Jennifer Blount, P.E., Jacobs Engineering will be presenting about "College Park Center."

The meeting will be at Rio Grande Room in the University Center on the UTA Campus; 300 W. First St., Arlington, TX.
An optional facilities tour for 20 individuals is avaialable immediately after the meeting. Space is limited to please indicate your interest on the reservation form and each party will be confirmed or waitlisted depending on interest.

September Fort Worth Branch Meeting

The next Meeting, scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2011 is now open for RSVP's. Mr. Crespin Guzman, P.E., Executive Director, Texas Section ASCE will be installing the new branch officers and will be presenting about the role and responsibilities of the Executive Director within the Texas Section.

Mr. Guzman also will address the current state of affairs of the Texas Section with a preview of the section at it prepares to celebrate its centennial anniversary in 2013.

UTA Scholarship Check Presentation

At the November Branch meeting, the Fort Worth Branch of ASCE was pleased to present the first installment of the UTA Civil Engineering Scholarship Endowment. ASCE Fort Worth will contribute $25,000 over five years to the endowment which will be matched 100% by UTA for a total endowment of $50,000.
