Student Day in Detroit-Detroit Construction Tour

The ASCE Southeastern Branch - Technical Activities Committee along with The 50k Coalition is pleased to invite students and civil engineering professionals to the inaugural Detroit Construction Tour. This event will take place on October 20th, 2018 and will include a networking event at Wayne State University followed by member-led tours of several on-going, high profile projects occurring in the City of Detroit. During the networking portion on the event, attendees are can learn more about LOCAL Engineering Positions (Summer Employment). (SEE FLYER)

Tentative Tour Sites: PPE - PLEASE WEAR PANTS AND ENCLOSED SHOES

1. Hudson’s Site (demo is complete, they are now working on the earth retention systems)

2. Brush Park (City Modern)

3. I-94 Bridges (Gratiot Avenue)

4. Gordie Howe Bridge / I-75

5. Wayne State (Anthony Wayne Apartments Complex)

(This is both a Networking event for Detroit Area Job Retention – partial day attendance is allowed and encouraged)  

Times

Registration & Networking w Firms: 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM

Park at Str. #2 – 5150 Lodge Service Dr Then walk to the Student Center - Ballroom C

Tour: (Enjoy full Tour or part-day) 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Networking Dinner: (Or dinner only) 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM (Optional-Additional Cost - $22.00 Mike’s Pizza Bar (LCA) )
