If you are an ASCE member aged 35 or younger, ASCE National considers you a Younger Member – including student members! The Nashville Branch’s Younger Member Group would like you to be a part of what we do. Our mission is to create opportunities for our Younger Members to develop professionally and personally through active participation in social, educational, and community service events. Emily is a native of East Tennessee and moved to the Nashville area after college. She is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University and received a B.S. in Civil Engineering in May 2016, and a M.S. in Civil Engineering in May 2018. Emily is currently a Geotechnical Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.. where she is a project manager for various types of geotechnical projects. She enjoys the challenge of interpreting field data into results her clients can use to make informed decisions. Outside of work, Emily enjoys recreational kayaking, reading, and hanging out with her Australian cattle dog named Finn.

Nisha grew up in the Nashville area and attended Vanderbilt University where she graduated with her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering in May 2021. While at Vanderbilt, she was heavily involved with the ASCE student chapter, serving as the VP of Meetings for two years as well as participating in various water and transportation-related events for the Southeast Regional Student Conference each year. Nisha interned with WSP in their Civil (Roadway Design) group for a summer and through her senior year at Vanderbilt before starting full time in June 2021 after graduation. In her free time, Nisha enjoys hiking at state parks around Middle TN, traveling to new places, spending time with friends, playing tennis, and listening to music.

Natalie works for Volkert.
Nick grew up in a civil engineering family in Nashville. He attended Tennessee Tech University and graduated with his B.S. in Civil Engineering in May of 2017. After completing two prior internships with TDOT, Nick joined the TDOT Region 3 Project Development office in Nashville, where he is a roadway design team lead. In addition to designing a variety of transportation projects, Nick assists in mentoring senior design groups at Tennessee Tech as well as interns and new employees at TDOT. In his free time, Nick likes to ride bikes on Nashville’s Greenways, build concrete lamps, and go to Nashville Predators games.
