The Northern Colorado Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE NCB) strives to provide essential value to our members and partners by advancing civil engineering and serving the public

Wild Animal Sanctuary Project

ASCE Northern Colorado Branch is looking to perform a community outreach project and we need volunteers!

We have been in talks with The Wild Animal Sanctuary near Keenesburg about utilizing our members’ expertise to design features for them. As you can see from the photo below, projects they have installed in the past have required civil engineering work. The park features walkways for humans, which keep us separate from the wild animals.

They also have structures for the animals. The mission of the sanctuary is to rescue captive large carnivores, so these structures are large, and require engineering.

Please contact Caleb Stock at caleb.stock@tetratech.com if you are interested in volunteering, as he is putting together a design team. How often do you get a chance to work on something like this?
