July Luncheon - Engineer’s Without Borders Sonoma County Professional Chapter Project Updates
Members of the Sonoma County Professionals Chapter of EWB will share project updates, photos and stories from their ongoing projects aiding fire recovery after the wildfires in Sonoma County and the multi-year rainwater collection project in Peru. We will also provide an introduction into the Community Engineering Corps joint partnership between EWB, ASCE and AWWA that has allowed for a more involved role in the design process for domestic engineering projects.
Chuck Corley
Chuck works as a Principal Digital Engineer for National Instruments, and teaches industry classes in high speed computer design. He has worked in lead engineering and management roles for Hewlett Packard, Agilent, Cisco, Mahi Networks, Keithley Instruments, and National Instruments. Chuck has Bachelor and Masters degrees in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Sacramento State University. Chuck is Vice President for Sonoma County Chapter of Engineers Without Borders, and has worked on their last two Peru construction projects.
Dyanna Stetina
Dyanna Stetina has seven years of experience working on water resources and land development projects at Brelje & Race Consulting Engineers. She has assisted with EWB’s local fire recovery projects by performing quality control review of the Sonoma RCD projects, and as the Technical Lead for the culvert replacement portion of the Wikiup Bridge Way project. Dyanna is a licensed Professional Engineer and received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Steve Worrell
Steve works as a Project Engineer for Summit Engineering’s Water and Wastewater Division, and has worked in landfill design and construction review, sewer system modeling and sanitary sewer evaluation studies/condition assessment, and design of water and wastewater treatment. Steve has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University, and a Master’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of South Florida. Steve served in the United States Peace Corps as a water and sanitation volunteer in Uganda, and currently is the Chapter President for the Sonoma County Chapter of Engineers Without Borders.
