The Student Scholarship Essay Competition is an annual event held in the spring and hosted in turns by San Jose State University, Santa Clara University, and Stanford University. Students from all three schools participate each year and contest winners receive scholarship money generously provided by a variety of local companies and ASCE members.
This year the awards banquet was hosted by Stanford University on May 1, 2018. The 2018 essay prompt topic was about the California high speed rail.
