Ric Moore will lead a discussion on the perceived value of licensure, changes to the application/licensure process, and the activities of the California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
Ric Moore, P.L.S.
Ric Moore, P.L.S., Executive Officer of the California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists (BPELSG) began his surveying career in 1980 working in the private sector in Colorado, Arizona, and New England. In 1990 he moved to California and Ric has been a licensed PLS since 1996. While working in the Ventura and Santa Barbara areas, he began assisting with state land surveyor exam grading and development.
In 2007 Ric became the Land Surveyor Consultant to what was then BPELS. When the Senior Registrar Land Surveyor position was created, he applied, and was hired to that position. After managing the internal licensing examination operations of the Board, Ric was appointed by the Board to be the BPELSG Executive Officer in July 2011.
