On Tuesday November 18th, our Monthly Technical Meeting will be at the Virginia Transportation Research Council (VTRC) on UVA Grounds for a 12pm Lunch and Learn.  Plenty of free parking is available.  The VTRC address is:
530 Edgemont Road, Charlottesville, VA  22903.
Our guest speaker for this month's presentation is Mr. Brennen Duncan, PE, City Engineer for the City of Charlottesville.  Mr. Duncan's presentation is entitled "Engineering in Charlottesville: the challenges of designing a city for a small-town feel while fulfilling the demand for more housing."  Mr. Duncan is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a BS in Civil Engineering.  He has nearly 25 years of experience spanning both public and private sectors.  Throughout his career he has worked on a vast array of projects from land development, utilities, pavement management, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management, just to name a few.
 
As a means to become more financially sustainable as an ASCE Branch, there is a nominal $5 cost associated with attending this month's Lunch and Learn.
