The Blue Ridge Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) was established in 1967. It encompasses the counties of Albemarle, Augusta, Greene, Highland, Madison, Nelson, Page, Rockingham, and Shenandoah.

Your Blue Ridge Branch is the portal to your local and regional engineering community. You will meet fellow engineers including friends, consultants, clients, and competitors to grow your network, earn free continuing education (CE) hours, increase your engineering knowledge and have fun doing it.

We meet at lunchtime on the fourth Tuesday of each month in alternating locations (Staunton and Charlottesville) to serve the broad geographic reach of our branch. Currently our Staunton meeting location is VDOT in Staunton. In Charlottesville we meet at the Virginia Transportation Research Council conference room at 530 Edgemont Road, Charlottesville 22903. Lunch arrangements are announced prior to the meetings.

At each meeting we have a brief business meeting followed by an interesting technical presentation featuring an engineering project or technology. Example topics include planning, design, management, construction, historic projects, and forensic engineering. We also have social events such as after-work gatherings and the upcoming Rotunda Dinner at the UVA Rotunda in Charlottesville.
