Greetings and Welcome to the ASCE Cape Canaveral Branch |
Dear Colleagues,
In February we had a great turnout for our monthly technical presentation luncheon. Attendees of this presentation on “surface Treatment for Pavements” received on PDH.
On April 15th we will be having our monthly technical presentation . This will be a luncheon scheduled from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the banquet room of Viera. This presentation is titled “Swagelining and Pre-Chlorinated Pipe Bursting” and will be presented by Tom Hayes, Vice President of Murphy Pipeline Contractors. Attendees of this presentation will received 1 PDH. The cost is $20 per person for members, $25 for non-members, and $5 for students. Additionally we have a technical presentation scheduled for May 13th titled “An Introduction to Cellular Concrete and Advanced Engineered Technology” that will be conducted by Aerix Industries. PDHs are currently pending Florida Board approval.
We also have a technical presentation scheduled for June 17th titled “Concrete Cloth for Drainage and Erosion Control” by Steve Neschleba, Regional Manager of Milliken Infrastructure Solutions. PDHs are currently pending Florida Board approval.

On another note, the branch is looking for sponsorship from anyone interested in having their business card displayed on our website, in our monthly newsletter distributed to 350 branch members, and on an introductory slide to be displayed at the start of each of our Technical presentations throughout the year, all for a donation of only $75 annually. Also, the branch provides the service of advertising open positions at local engineering firms for a fee of $50. These advertisements will be presented at the beginning of each monthly PDH meeting, as well as being included in the monthly newsletter for a duration of 6 months or until the position is filled.
