March Branch Meeting
Please join us for a joint meeting with the SDSU Student Chapter. Our speaker will be Daryl Taavola from AECOM, who will be dicussing automated vehicle technology. The meeting will start at 5:30pm with the speaker after a short business meeting. Pizza will be provided.

Biography for Daryl Taavola, Vice President
As a member of AECOM’s Minneapolis office, Daryl Taavola is the director of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Traffic Engineering. He has more than 33 years’ experience including work in 16 different U.S. states in the areas of ITS, connected and automated vehicles, Traffic Management Centers, advanced transportation management systems, and other emerging technologies. Daryl is currently serving as the AECOM Program Manager on the Automated Bus Consortium program. Daryl received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He is a registered professional civil engineer and traffic engineer and is certified as a professional transportation operations engineer.
