Regular Monthly Lunch Meeting Announcement
On overview of the site selection, planning, construction process, challenges, successes, and fun facts about the new Gordon Food Service (GFS) headquarters will be presented.
Mr. Kevin Diekevers is the Facilities Manager for GFS. GFS has been in business in West Michigan for over 115 years and is one of the largest privately held companies in the US. GFS now has over 150 Marketplace stores in addition to their specialty of food service distribution to restaurants, healthcare industry, and education among others. The new headquarters houses over 1,000 office workers in the spacious 382,000 square foot complex and utilizes new technology like geothermal and LEED design.
11:45 am – 1:00pm, quick optional tour of building after presentation.
