The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents more that 150,000 members of the civil engineering profession and is the nation's oldest engineering society.
The Northeast Texas branch was formed in 1950 and operates under the Texas Section. We currently serve the counties of Anderson, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Delta, Fannin, Franklin, Grayson, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Hunt, Lamar, Marion, Morris, Panola, Rains, Red River, Rusk, Smith, Titus, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood. Our members include a wider variety within the civil engineering profession. We also support the student chapters for ASCE at the University of Texas at Tyler and LeTourneau University.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for engineers who work in the Northeast Texas area to meet, network, share ideas, and learn together. We do this through monthly meetings, either in person or virtual. Through the virtual option for meetings we have been able to connect with members who otherwise could not meet in person, increasing our networking and educational opportunities.
