Memphis BRT project (mConnect)/ Memphis Innovation Corridor

The Memphis Innovation Corridor project – part of the City of Memphis Transit Vision Plan – is an important step in remaking transit in Memphis. The project will include mConnect, the first Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Memphis. mConnect will improve travel time and reliability for transit riders along the corridor. Further, with BRT vehicles arriving every 10 minutes during peak travel times and direct connections to 18 bus routes, mConnect will improve travel times across the entire MATA service area. The project will also include roadway and intersection improvements to make the corridor safer, while features like green infrastructure, LED street lights, and all-electric BRT vehicles will make it more environmentally sustainable.
