The East Branch is a subdivision of the Central Illinois Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), dedicated to strengthening our local community and elevating the civil engineering profession across eastern Illinois. We serve members in 30 counties and host a variety of professional networking events, technical seminars, and social gatherings throughout the year, all of which are open to current and prospective members.
We are also committed to engaging with students and faculty at local colleges, including the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, by providing resources for professional development and encouraging continued involvement in ASCE beyond graduation.
The East Branch Board meets regularly in Champaign-Urbana to plan and coordinate local initiatives. This year, we host an annual dinner banquet to recognize outgoing board members and welcome newly elected leadership. All members are encouraged to get involved with the Board, offering a valuable opportunity to connect with peers and contribute to the advancement of the civil engineering community.
