ASCE Denver Branch is jointly hosting the January Breakfast meeting with CAGE/SEAC. This meeting will have a great presentation by Marino Engineering Associates, Inc. titled, "What Structural Engineers Should Know About Mine Subsidence." This technical presentation will brief the audience on the fundamental elements of underground mining as it related to overlying construction, and cover how the engineer can approach mining related problems, and the associated pros and cons of the solutions. Also it is happening at the beautiful Lakewood Country Club with delicious breakfast served!
As an added bonus, keeping with the ASCE-Denver Branch's goal to lift up our community, the $10 registration fee will be refunded to anyone who brings a canned food donation for Food Bank of the Rockies!
Please see the registration link for further details; hope to see you there for what's sure to be another fantastic event!
