Newton has been involved in several education select committee for almost 5 years in the Denver metro area, Colorado.  Mr. Khatib grew up in the Middle East region, specifically, Amman, Jordan. He has earned a B.S. (2016) and M.S. (2017) in Civil/ Structural Engineering from the University of Colorado Denver, he is steadily working on his Ph.D.  Newton moved out to Denver, Colorado in 2012. Newton has been working in the bridge engineering industry since 2018, he is currently working with Ulteig, Engineers Inc. as a bridge engineer.  His career has mainly focused on structures design with a variety of transportation projects, including retaining walls, sign structures, and drainage structures.  Within ASCE, Mr. Khatib is involving in helping people with choosing their career, boosting confidence, and being a better young engineer. In his spare time, Newton enjoys playing football, tennis, and he absolutely loves hiking with his wife, Manal.
