Shubhneet received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, India, and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Fluid Mechanics and Water Resources from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
During his Master’s, he developed a tidal stream resource classification system for the United States, which would assist in preliminary project siting, streamlining the development of tidal energy harnessing devices and ultimately making the tidal stream energy economically viable.
Currently, he is working as a Hydraulic Engineer for DHI Water & Environment, Inc., based in their Lakewood, CO office. He develops and executes 1D-2D Hydrologic and Hydraulic models for floodplain simulation. He developed a flood routing model for South Florida and Everglades National Park, assisting ecosystem restoration and water supply management. As an intern, Shubhneet developed a variety of flood mitigation projects across New Zealand.
On the weekends, you would find him reading, hiking a 14’er, camping, or mountain biking in the backcountry.
