January Networking & Dinner Meeting: Central 70 Project Presentation

Thursday, January 16, 2020 - 05:30 PM

Kiewit Meridiam Partners (KMP) is responsible for the design-build, finance, operation, and maintenance of the Central 70 Project. This Project will reconstruct a 10-mile stretch of I-70 between Brighton Boulevard and Chambers Road, add one new Express Lane in each direction, remove the aging 55-year-old viaduct, lower the interstate between Brighton and Colorado boulevards, and place a 4-acre park over a portion of the lowered interstate. The Project team will update the group on progress, phasing, and complexity of this $1.2B Project that is one of Colorado’s economic backbones, carrying upwards of 200,000 vehicles per day.

Del Walker at KMP and Technical Manager for the Central 70 Project will be speaking.

Mr. Walker joined Kiewit Development Company in 2017 and has over 35 years of progressive experience in planning, procurement, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of highway and transit facilities.
