ASCE Fairbanks Branch March Luncheon
Join us Wednesday March 18th for a lunch and technical presentation on ASCE’s Cold Regions Engineering Division (CRED). Established in 1979, CRED is an active ASCE division focused on engineering challenges in cold climates. The presentation will provide a brief history of the division, highlight current committees and initiatives, and discuss key resources such as the widely used Cold Regions Utilities Monograph (CRUM) and the recently released Frost Action Monograph. Attendees will also learn about opportunities to get involved with CRED and its ongoing work in cold regions engineering.
David Prusak, PE Principal Civil Engineer with Stantec. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and is a Member of ASCE’s Center for Technical Advancement and Past Chair of the Cold Regions Engineering Division (CRED). He has over 40 years of experience working with the impacts of frost on utilities, roadways and facilities with the last 19 years working in Alaska. With CRED he is a member of the Transportation, Frozen Grounds and Environment and Public Health Committees.
