President’s Message: 

As the 2023-2024 ASCE Gainesville Branch President, I would like to personally welcome you to the Gainesville Branch of the ASCE Florida Section! 

Our hope is that the Gainesville Branch can be a hub of information for members to improve their technical and professional skills all while building relationships in the community. I am excited that you have shown interest in our Branch and look forward to working together to further develop the engineering community in North Central Florida. The Gainesville Branch includes Alachua County as well as 11 surrounding counties: Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Marion, Putnam, Suwanee, and Union. This Branch is part of the Florida Section, which is part of Region 5 of the American Society of Civil Engineers. 

Our organization partners with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the University of Florida Student Chapter of ASCE to broaden and enrich the experiences of our members. 

The Branch holds regular meetings, typically on the first Thursday of the month, with most offering one professional development hour (PDH). In addition to our monthly meetings, we try to host various social events and volunteering opportunities so keep an eye on our calendar to see what’s coming up soon. We hope that you will join us, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
