The Southwest Branch and the Wisconsin Section of ASCE are pleased to announce our annual Spring Technical Conference, which will take place on April 18, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Madison East.
We’re excited to offer exceptional programming with up to six PDH opportunities, along with fantastic networking potential!
Come help us with the scoring of MathCounts tests and/or proctoring (basically just handing out and picking up tests and walking around the room during tests to keep everyone honest). We generally have time between grading tests to socialize and can even test out our own math skills, trying to answer the test questions ourselves.
For those who are unfamiliar with MathCounts, this is a Math based competition series held in all 50 states for students in middle school. Local schools bring teams to compete both as a team and individually, with the hopes to move on to the state competition and then nationals, where they compete for college scholarships.
We need to be at Kromrey Middle School by 8:45am on Saturday Feb 8th. Morning beverages and snacks will be provided. We should be done prior to lunch, so we can head somewhere near by and grab a bite to eat together.
Please let us know ASAP if you can make it. (The event organizer is hoping for numbers by Monday Jan. 20th.)
Hope you can make!

Each year our branch organizes at least one Habitat for Humanity work day with the Dane County Habitat for Humanity group. It is always a great opportunity to get to know your fellow ASCE members while giving back to your community.
ASCE National and our branch actively support Engineers without Borders USA, a volunteer organization that works to create a more stable and prosperous world by addressing people’s basic human needs, providing necessities such as clean water, power, sanitation and education.
At the local level, we provide financial and technical support to the UW-Madison and UW-Platteville student chapters, and they keep us up-to-date on their activities and progress.
In 2011, the Southwest Branch formed a Younger Member Committee dedicated to providing opportunities for the Branch’s Younger Members (those 35 and younger) to socialize, network, learn, and volunteer.
