The East Branch is a subdivision of the Central Illinois Section of ASCE. We are focused on being active in our community and in bringing the profession of Civil Engineering to the forefront of our local communities. We serve members in 30 counties in eastern Illinois and regularly hold professional networking events, technical seminars, and social events that all current and potential members are invited to attend. We also strive to connect with students and faculty at our local colleges and at the University of Illinois to provide a resource for professional development and encourage students to remain involved in the society after graduation.
The East Branch board meets regularly in Champaign-Urbana to plan local events and holds an annual dinner banquet to recognize outgoing board members and to introduce newly elected members. All members are eligible and encouraged to become involved in the board. It is one of the best ways to meet colleagues in your area and to become involved in improving your local community.
