Ms. Anderson Bomar has a strong passion for Transportation, Community, and Sustainability, driving her diverse activities.
She founded Street Smarts in 1990 and Data Smarts in 1993, growing them to over 120 employees with nearly $20 million in annual revenue. She established the Street Smarts Foundation, notably endowing the Mentor and Mentee program within Women in Engineering at Georgia Tech. After selling the firm to Stantec in 2010, she held roles such as Assistant General Manager for Capital Delivery at MARTA and Interim Commissioner of the Atlanta Department of Transportation.
As an International Past President of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and a Fellow of ASCE, she holds influential roles and has been recognized in various capacities, including as the Co-Chair of the 2024 International Conference on Transportation and Development.
She's actively involved in organizations like TRB, WTS, the Council for Quality Growth, and SWE, and has received prestigious awards like the Athena Award and Woman of the Year accolades from WTS Atlanta and WTS International.
Ms. Anderson Bomar is dedicated to mentoring students, businesses, and young entrepreneurs while engaging in angel investing.
