November 2026 Luncheon
The presentation by Ryan Blake and Will Shelton showcases the rehabilitation of Chattanooga’s large-diameter sewer interceptors along the South Chickamauga Creek corridor, which is improving critical wastewater infrastructure through extensive CIPP lining and system upgrades. Previous construction efforts involved complex bypass pumping operations, railroad crossings, utility conflicts, creek corridor work, and numerous field challenges while maintaining continuous sewer service. To date approximately 3,100 LF of 72-inch interceptor and 6,600 LF of 84-inch interceptor have been rehabilitated and design efforts are currently underway to rehabilitate an additional 3,000 LF of 84-inch interceptor which is targeted for installation beginning in 2027.
