Bob Cagle is retired from the US Army Corps of Engineers with over 35 years of experience in construction management, primarily here in North Carolina with the Wilmington and Savannah Districts in both civil and military construction. He has been deeply involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers, serving in multiple offices in the NC Section, initially as a founding member of the Coastal Branch, Branch Representative, Section VP and President and ASCE’s District 6 Chairman. He has served on numerous ASCE committees, including ASCE’s Public Policy Committee and the Fly-In, the Committee on Developing Leaders, the Program and Finance Committee, the Committee on Employment Conditions, the Committee on Membership, the Committee on Professional Development and he served from 2018- 2021 as the Society Director on the ASCE Board of Direction representing Region 4. He is the current Chair of ASCE’s Governing Documents Committee, Treasurer for NC Go! a transportation advocacy group for North Carolina, and he serves on the Council of Trustees for the ASCE Foundation.
