Janine M. Alexander, P.E. serves as Senior Regional Engineer, Southeastern States, for the Ductile Iron Pipe Research Association (DIPRA), a trade association providing research, publications, and advisory services to the water industry. She has more than 30 years of utility experience, including project management for the design of new facilities, relocations of existing facilities, utility coordination, permitting, construction administration, construction management, inspections, and certifications for numerous public and private sector projects. She additionally has written and presented over a dozen technical papers at conferences including NASTT No Dig, NASTT No Dig North, FSAWWA (various), ACE, USEI Pipelines, FWRC, USTDA and others.  At DIPRA, she now presents over 50 presentations annually, primarily to utility owners and consulting engineers.

As a consulting engineer, Janine was the Engineer of Record (EOR), Lead or QAQC reviewer for over 180 miles of pipelines. In her prior consulting engineering project, she was the Senior Project Manager and EOR for an $82M WIFIA funded gravity sewer rehab program, after securing the WIFIA loan on behalf of her client.

Janine represents Ductile iron pipe as a member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and Chi Epsilon Engineering Honor Society. She is a licensed professional engineer in both Florida and Texas. Her education includes a BS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida. Prior to joining DIPRA, Janine worked for Tetra Tech as a Senior Project Manager.
