Kids had a choice of activities:  Build a physical bridge using K'nex, or a computer model.

Students and parents work together to create bridges. We explored that loading a triangle on one of its points, while using the opposite, flat edge as a base, makes a strong structure. 

This bridge is loaded in a unique way:  the load is suspended from the bottom.
