Location: The presentation will be at the West TN AG Research Center at 605 Airways Drive in Jackson, TN.
UT MTAS has teamed with ASCE, TSPE and West TN STEM to offer free lunchtime engineering presentations in the Jackson, TN area. Please attend to help make it successful and to learn about interesting engineering advances. A certificate of attendance will be furnished. The presentation will start at 11:45 AM and should be done by 12:45 PM.
Lunch is being provided by the speaker, however, an RSVP is needed to hold a lunch for you. If you plan to attend, but do not want lunch, please let Tom Lawrence know in your e-mail. He will use the RSVP list if he needs to make any last-minute notifications.
Note that it is possible that presentations may be canceled. If so, you will be contacted via the e-mail you provided when you RSVP'd. If it turns out that you'll be unable to attend after you have RSVP'd "yes," please let Tom know ASAP, so that the lunch order can be modified to minimize wasting food.

Parking at the “Parking Can Be Fun Garage” at 79 Union Avenue will be reimbursed for RSVPs. Once you arrive, call 901-237-4819 for access to building at 88 Union Avenue. August 14, 2026, 1:15 PM – Field Tour and Talk - “Memphis Road Boring is doing a pilot tube guided boring project downtown Memphis (Front Street)” We don’t know what stage will be occurring, but it is sure to be interesting. 1 hour, 1 PDH. For the tour, meet at 1:15 PM at the southeast corner of Front St and Union Avenue in Memphis, TN. Nearby parking is available in the Parking Can Be Fun garage at 79 Union Avenue and several other garages in the area. Note that some streets may be closed due to the construction of the Memphis Art Museum and various utility work. Plan for extra time, but don’t worry if you’re late. Call Tom at 901-237-4819 and he will tell you where to meet the group.
